Congratulations on taking the next step towards finding your dream wedding dress! To ensure your visit to our boutique is as enjoyable and productive as possible, we've prepared a few guidelines for your upcoming appointment. ALL our appointments are private, serving only one bride at a time. This is a special moment in your wedding planning journey, and we're here to make it memorable and stress free.
Firstly, feel free to bring up to four guests to share in this experience. Whether it's family or friends, their support and feedback can be invaluable as you choose your perfect gown. Please, NO CHILDREN under 12 years old. No food or beverages allowed. No exceptions! We do ask that you wear undergarments, and consider a strapless bra to make trying on various gown styles easier. During your appointment, which will last approximately one hour, expect to try on around 5-7 gowns. Don't worry about shoes—we provide a pedestal for you to stand on, but you're welcome to bring heels if you prefer.
We strive to offer exceptional service for every bride-to-be, which includes our appointment policy. To ensure we can offer the best experience for all our brides, we kindly ask for 48 hours' notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. This allows us to get a bride in, off our wait list. If you will be late, please let us know! If you are a no-show after 20 minutes, we will assume you are no longer coming and may assist another bride! (or leave the shop to pickup gowns!)

At our boutique, we are dedicated to offering an exquisite selection of wedding gowns that cater to the dreams of every bride-to-be. Our curated collection is exclusive to gowns that are contemporary and in pristine condition. To ensure the quality and exclusivity of our selection, we have a specific acceptance policy for consignments.
We welcome wedding gowns that are two years old or less, ensuring that our range remains modern and up-to-date with the latest bridal trends. It is essential that these gowns are UNWORN, UNALTERED, or are SAMPLE gowns, as we aim to provide dresses that are as close to new as possible. Gowns will be inspected for any signs of wear or damage; thus, we only accept dresses that are in very good condition, free from rips, stains, or tears. Please note, we focus exclusively on wedding gowns and do not accept bridesmaid or mother-of-the-bride dresses.
To secure a consignment appointment with us, there is a $25 consignment fee. We understand that plans can change, so if you need to cancel your appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to manage our schedule effectively and potentially accommodate other clients.
We appreciate your understanding and adherence to our consignment guidelines. Our goal is to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for both our consignors and brides-to-be, ensuring that every gown finds its perfect match. When you bring your undergarments and the shoes you will be wearing with your dress to your first visit, you are taking a crucial step in achieving the best possible fit. The undergarments play a significant role in how a dress lays on your body, affecting everything from the bust line to the shape of the waist and the flow of the skirt. Similarly, the height of your shoes will determine the length of the dress hem, ensuring that it grazes the floor just right, without the risk of tripping or looking too short.
Upon your arrival for your first fitting, Slubia will assess the dress on you, considering the undergarments and shoes you've chosen. This initial fitting is where the magic begins, with pins and markers showing the way toward a perfectly tailored fit. It's at this time that you will receive a final cost estimate for the alterations. I had my very first dress appointment here yesterday and within an hour said “yes” to a perfect dress at an amazing cost.

I will say, I am pretty easy going so this style of store worked for me. While I had a little bit of a vision on the kind of dress I wanted, I wasn’t super particular about the details. I really just wanted something that felt good on me and was fun, whimsical, and unique. So I was very much open minded! My appointment was with Barbara and I told her the venue I was getting married at (Waterloo Village) and the little bit of vision for my dress, and she pulled multiple great options for me to try on. I felt like she really understood what I was looking for to go with my venue and also knew the selection of the store well! I actually ended up going with the very first dress I tried on!

If you’re also open minded about the dress you want and are looking for a very affordable gown, I’d totally recommend going here!! Make sure to book in advance though. I booked this appointment in January for March 21st.

Barbara was so nice and so patient with me as it was only my second time dress shopping and I didn’t have a strong idea of what I liked and didn’t like yet. She picked up on the clues towards “the one” way faster than I could have without her. She also made my mom and grandmother very comfortable and didn’t mind my crazy little sister on FaceTime. I'm so happy to have found my dress at Cherished Bridals! I like that you can view the dresses online to have an idea of what to expect, especially in terms of pricing. I saw a dress online that I liked but was different from other styles I tried on. When I called to ask about it, Barbara was really nice and told me they had even more dresses in stock. I was so surprised how many dresses they had in store, and how cute it was decorated. I tried on the dress that I saw online, along with a couple other gorgeous gowns. Barbara was really helpful and also gives you the space to feel out the dress. I ended up saying yes to the one I saw online. I can't wait to get married and wear my dress! I definitely recommend visiting this shop!
